Stall rental
You book and pay for a stall on our website www.lidkøb.dk. Rental is on a daily basis, minimum 1 week and up to 12 months. A week is 7 days. If you start on a Monday, your rental ends on a Sunday. The most common rental period is 3 weeks.
Payouts and settlement
Payouts are made to the account registered on My Lidkøb. Twice a month, we transfer your balance to the bank account you registered on My Lidkøb: • Sales from the 1st–15th are settled on the 30th of the same month. • Sales from the 16th–31st are settled on the 15th of the following month. If the payout date falls on a non-business day, the transfer will be made on the next business day.
Price tags
All items are registered in advance through "My Lidkøb" which can be accessed at mit.lidkob.dk from your PC, smartphone or tablet. Items must be registered with a detailed description including colour, brand, distinguishing features, size and price. E.g.: Green Molo T-shirt with cars, size 68, 49 DKK. The item description is important for staff at the register to prevent fraud through price tag swapping. Therefore, even cheap items need a proper description — not just "T-shirt 10 DKK". Otherwise dishonest people can use your price tag on an expensive item. The description also helps you keep track of exactly what you've sold. Price tags are printed at our in-store computers. When your rental starts, please ask the staff so we can get you up and running. If you wish to change the price of one or more items, you must update it online and then print new price tags. After a price tag has been printed, you cannot change the description and the price can only be adjusted downwards. If you want to change the description or increase the price, you must create the item anew. In case of renting a new stall, you are responsible for changing the price tags. If you have rented multiple stalls, new price tags must be attached when moving items between rented stalls.
Getting started
Once the stall is booked and paid for, items can be set up on the stall from 9:00 AM on the first day of the rental period. If you have not set up your items on the first rental day, Lidkøb may freely and without notice rent the stall to another party without refunding the stall rental. The stall may be decorated to a limited extent, as deemed reasonable by the staff. You must remove the decorations yourself when you clear your stall. Stalls must not be moved, and nothing may be attached to the stall. Items must be placed on your stall. You may not place items on the floor next to your stall, on other stalls, on display tables or other locations in the store. Items must be displayed in a way that does not interfere with neighbouring stalls. For example, it is not permitted to hang hangers with clothing on the stall's side posts, as this blocks the view and access to the neighbouring stall's items. Lidkøb may place your items on themed tables and display tables.
Tidiness and restocking your stall
You are responsible for keeping your stall tidy. To sell as well as possible, your stall should be clear and neat. You can purchase a tidying service for 150 DKK per week. We will tidy your stall every morning during the period. This service can be purchased at the register. Do not overfill the stall. All clothing must be able to hang on the hanging rail, with room to browse through the clothing. We recommend a maximum of 40 items hanging at a time. Use baskets or boxes for small items so the stall is easy to browse for buyers. You are welcome to restock with new items throughout your rental period.
When your booking expires
The stall must be emptied no later than one hour before closing time on the last day of the rental period. You must check in at the register when you arrive. You are responsible for emptying the stall yourself. Remember to check for your items in glass display cases, on themed tables and the "Lost and Found" shelf. It is important that all price tags and security devices remain on the items when the stall is emptied, as items without price tags may not be taken out of the store. Staff will check your items at the counter, and alarms will be removed. If someone else will empty the stall for you, you must call and inform the store. If the stall is not emptied on time, the rental period is automatically extended by one week, if possible. If the stall is booked for another person, it will be shut down, which costs 350 DKK for the first moving box and 50 DKK per additional box. Items must be collected within 8 days. After that, a charge of 50 DKK per box per commenced week applies. After 3 weeks, the items will be transferred to Lidkøb. If you cannot collect your items in time, you may arrange for takedown by appointment. This costs 250 DKK for the first moving box and 50 DKK per additional box. Items must be collected within 8 days. After that, a charge of 50 DKK per box per commenced week applies. After 3 weeks, the items will be transferred to Lidkøb. Premium items must be collected on the last day of the booking, otherwise a handling fee of 50 DKK per item applies. Rental extensions and shutdowns will be offset against your total sales or charged in store.
Item security
At Lidkøb, we do everything possible to protect your items. We have video surveillance, attentive staff and several types of alarms available for free loan for items over 100 DKK, so you can secure your items as best as possible. The following precautions are recommended: • Clothing alarms are attached with an extra price tag hidden inside the alarm. This way, your item is better protected against price tag swapping, and we can still sell your item if the other price tag falls off. Clothing alarms are attached in a seam. Never attach alarms to the price tag, care label, pocket or a strap. • Sticker alarms should be placed in a non-visible location if possible. You can hide it under the price tag on the item. • Secure any cables or loose parts belonging to the item with tape or zip ties. • Expensive jewellery, watches, perfumes and other items that may tempt dishonest people should not be placed on the stall but locked in one of our glass display cases. • As a stall holder, you always have the option to place one or two items in the glass display cases, if space is available. Shoplifting and price tag swapping are reported to the police. Price tag swapping is categorised as fraud. Lidkøb cannot be held responsible for stolen, lost or damaged items. Lidkøb is not liable for fire or water damage. In the event of fire, water or burglary, your home insurance may cover your loss — contact your insurance company for more information.
My item is missing
If your item has disappeared from the stall but has not been sold, it is most likely on another stall. Customers tend to change their minds along the way and put the item down in a random place. From experience, we know it can be difficult to search the entire store and that an item may turn up several weeks after it disappeared. This typically happens when another stall holder packs up. Look for the item on your old stall and neighbouring stalls when you visit the store again, and check the Lost & Found shelf regularly. If we receive the item at the register while your booking is still active, it will be returned to your stall. If we receive the item at the register after your booking has expired, it will be placed on the Lost & Found shelf if it costs less than 50 DKK. If the item costs 50 DKK or more, we will send you a message that the item has been found. Items without a price tag are placed in Lost & Found. Items without a price tag are kept in the department for 14 days, after which they become the property of Lidkøb, who may freely donate, dispose of or sell them.
Sales and discounts
You have the option to hold a sale on your stall, where you can choose between 25% and 50% discount. On My Lidkøb, under your booking, simply press "Discount" and select the desired discount rate. We do a round every morning to put up discount signs, if we haven't had time before then. Remember that the discount applies to all items you have price-tagged, so be aware of any items in the glass display case. If you want a discount on premium items, you must come by in person so you can locate the items.
Ownership
The seller is solely responsible for having unrestricted ownership and the right to sell the items on the stall. The following items may not be sold at Lidkøb: • It is not permitted to sell counterfeit goods, e.g. bags, wallets, watches, etc. • If Lidkøb becomes aware of a sale of a counterfeit item, Lidkøb is entitled to refund the item and charge the amount to the seller. • Safety-compromising items such as tobacco, alcohol, food, weapons, fireworks, major appliances, pornographic material or other items that staff may deem inappropriate or offensive. • Sharp objects such as knives may not be displayed on the stall but must be locked in our glass display cases. Violation will result in the disposal of these items and effects without notice. It is not permitted to place business cards or other marketing materials on the stalls. Staff also reserve the right to reject or dispose of items deemed harmful to the store's standard, such as dirty, foul-smelling or unhygienic items.
Payment methods
For online booking, we accept all types of VISA and MasterCard and Dankort. In store, we accept cash, Dankort, VISA, MasterCard or MobilePay.
Price and commission
Prices are according to the current price list on the website including VAT, including a commission rate of 20%, which is automatically deducted from the settlement before the profit is paid out to you. Provided you are selling your private items, you do not pay VAT and tax on your sales. If you sell items that are not reported missing after the stall expires or the item is marked as collected, the item will be sold at a commission rate of 50%.
Business use (sale of new or used items)
Business bookings cannot be made online but must be booked by contacting the store. If you operate a business through the stall, a CVR number must be provided to the store, which will then register it. Sales will be treated for VAT purposes according to either commission trading rules or used goods VAT rules. Lidkøb's system will generate a settlement document that the business must use in its accounts.
Right of withdrawal and complaints
A 14-day right of withdrawal applies to stall rental, however the rent is not refunded if the rental period has started. If you book less than 14 days before the start of the rental period, you confirm that you waive the 14-day right of withdrawal. If you wish to make a complaint, please contact info@lidkob.dk. All sold items are purchased as seen, and no complaints can be made regarding these.
